Deadly Consequences

Who knew my dear husband’s amazing surgeon had the time, inclination, and ability to write medical thrillers? I liked this book even more than Dr.Marx’s first book, “Deadly Prescription.” “Deadly Consequences” is a fascinating story, very believable and with Big Pharma and corrupt scientists, successfully blurs the line between reality and fiction. I literally could not put it down. Congratulations, Dr. Marx! I look forward to your next book and hope the movie producers come calling!

Read a previous book by this author and was amazed at how engaging it was. He managed to incorporate reality into his story and I’m certain this novel will do the same. I can’t wait to read it!

Robert Marx’s website gave promise of a trilogy when his first book came out, so I’ve been eagerly awaiting the next release. Got it… about half way through… and I can’t put it down. The way the author makes ZOMBIES plausible is fascinating. I guess similar to Grisham, that’s the plus point of really knowing what you’re writing about. I highly recommend this book.

LA Love (Amazon.com)

I just finished reading Dr. Robert E Marx’s book, Deadly Consequences and WOW! I missed two meals because I simply could not put down this novel that combines superior medical knowledge with diving and knowledge of deadly poisons from various fish groups. Plus, it gets in the plausible shenanigans brought about by Big Pharma and big money! Knowing Dr. Marx on a patient/surgeon level and knowing how brilliant he is as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Miami, I didn’t doubt he had the knowledge to write such a novel, but I have to admit that its contents blew me away! I’ve read everything John Grisham has written and I swear Dr. Marx is to the medical thriller what Grisham is to the legal thriller! I finished it in six hours and can’t wait to receive Deadly Prescription and the next book he writes! Highly recommend this novel to anyone who is intrigued by medical thrillers!

This book was even better than the first one, albeit a little short. But, the storyline was interesting and current and it also had a little bit of romance in it. It is definitely a book I’d recommend!

Cool book, a fun read. I loved the melding of the two worlds, that of pharmaceutical drug testing—a sometimes questionable activity—and the unforeseen creation of zombies. Clever and different “who-done-its” are hard to come by these days. This is one of them.
